Conditional Vehicle Registration - Queensland

All vehicles require registration to drive on the road, even forklifts, tractors, graders and harvesters. Driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle on the road is illegal, no matter what kind of vehicle. The conditional registration scheme is available for some non-standard vehicles, such as construction, agricultural and recreational vehicles that do not comply with standard regulations for registration but have a genuine need for limited access to the road network to get the job done.

Examples of vehicles that may require conditional registration include:

  • forklifts
  • tractors
  • graders
  • harvesters
  • 2-,3- or 4-wheeled recreational vehicles.
