Conditional Vehicle Registration - Queensland

Description

Any vehicle used on roads in Queensland must be registered, even forklifts, tractors, graders and harvesters. Operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle on the road, no matter what kind of vehicle, is illegal and you may be fined.

The conditional registration scheme is available for some non-standard vehicles, such as construction, agricultural and recreational vehicles that do not comply with standard regulations for registration but have a genuine need for limited access to the road network to get the job done.

Examples of vehicles that may require conditional registration include:

  • forklifts
  • tractors
  • graders
  • harvesters
  • 2-,3- or 4-wheeled recreational vehicles.
