To provide an alternative to current court based legal options.
Assistance is provided in the form of a mediation service. Mediation is a way of settling a dispute without legal action. It is a meeting between people in conflict, with one or two mediators present. Mediators are there to guide the discussion between the two parties so that they can work out an agreement that suits them both.
A facilitation service is also offered for large-scale disputes involving several parties, an organisation, a department, or entire community.
Cases are referred from a number of sources such as community groups, government departments and a wide variety of agencies.
