Why the Support is Provided?

This service is provided to assess the eligibility and suitability of people wishing to seek admission to the legal profession and practise law in Queensland.

What Support is Provided?

The Legal Practitioners Admissions Board provide a phone and written enquiry service to the legal profession, law graduates and associated personnel. Information is given in relation to Part 2.3 of the Legal Profession Act 2007, Supreme Court (Admission) Rules 2004, applications for admission to the legal profession, and applicants with overseas qualifications and training.

Eligibility requirements

Eligibility and suitability criteria for admission to the legal profession apply in accordance with the Legal Profession Act 2007 and Supreme Court (Admission) Rules 2004.


Fees are imposed under the Legal Profession Regulation 2007 for a range of matters including applications for admission to the legal profession. No fees apply for enquiries.
