Eradication of Rabbits - Queensland

Description

The Darling Downs Moreton Rabbit Board provides this service to maintain effective rabbit control and to up-hold the law prohibiting the keeping of rabbits in Queensland in general, and in particular the Darling Downs-Moreton Rabbit Board district.

The 555 km long rabbit-proof fence is maintained and landholders and other clients are given assistance to eradicate rabbits from their properties, to ensure that all lands in the Darling Downs-Moreton Rabbit Board district are maintained, as far as possible, free of rabbits.

Within a specific area, the Darling Downs Division includes the Councils of Southern Downs Regional Council, Western Downs Regional Council, Toowoomba Regional Council, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Ipswich City Council, Logan City Council and the Gold Coast City Council.
