Exploration Data Centre - Queensland


The Exploration Data Centre provides this service to facilitate exploration and development of the State's mineral and energy resources.

The Centre provides access to non-documentary data to assist in the exploration of the State's mineral and energy resources. The following non-documentary data is provided:

  • Drill core and cuttings
  • Seismic survey data
  • Company reports, including scanning of reports for QDEX
  • Field logistics and laboratory services for the Geological Survey of Queensland
  • Hylogging core technologies.

There is also now a regional drill core repository at Mount Isa, (new facility opened on 31 October 2010).

Additional information

The collection centre is located at Zillmere in a warehousing operation and appointments need to be arranged prior to visiting.
