You require this approval to operate over width, over length or overweight vehicles on roads under the care and control of the council.
You also require this licence if you are transporting machinery or buildings.
You may need to pay a road maintenance bond before your approval is
granted. The maintenance bond is used to reinstate any damage made to
the road or road signs.
If your vehicle will be travelling across roads which are in
jurisdiction of Main Roads you must also seek approval from the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Queensland Police may also require notice.
