This support service is provided to provide assistance in determining the engineering feasibility and approximate cost of bulk water supplies for industrial, rural and urban purposes.

SunWater can assist industry by carrying out technical studies, which include engineering, environmental, social and economic aspects, and through the preparation of conceptual designs and cost estimates for works.

Industrial firms may initially seek SunWaters services in this area via telephone or via a letter but must come to meet with SunWater to discuss tentative plans, requirements and specifications of work to be carried out.

Any client wanting to obtain a water supply needs a licence to extract water. Any water retaining structure needs to comply with dam safety regulations.
