Ground Distribution Contractor Licence - Queensland

Description

A person or an organisation which carries on the business of ground distribution of herbicides or which directs or authorises ground equipment to be used to carry out ground distribution requires this licence.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements


There are no pre-requisites.

However, if the licence applicant requires a trading (business) name to be attached to the name shown on the licence, a copy of business name record of registration under the Business Names Registration Act 2011 must accompany the application. In addition if the applicant is a corporation a certified copy of the Certificate of Incorporation issued under the Australian Securities and Investment Commission if a company or another certificate of incorporation issued under an appropriate Queensland Act if another type of corporation, will need to accompany the application. Failure to provide these documents will cause delays in the granting of the licence.

Duration

Licences are issued for one or three years, nominated by the applicant at time of application. A licensee may apply to renew their licence 60 days prior to the expiry date shown on their licence for a further one or three year term.

Application process

You can obtain this licence by submitting a completed 'Aerial or Ground Distribution Contractor Licence' application form to the Department address listed on the form. A copy of this application can also be obtained from Biosecurity Queensland.

This licence may be issued to either an individual or a body corporate (corporation or other organisation). A licence application once received at Biosecurity Queensland will be considered and a licence will either be granted or refused. Nothing more is required of you if your application is in order and complete.

The licence cannot be transferred.
