The purpose of the Health Regulation 1996 Part 3 Cancer Registration is to ensure the collection of a basic information source for research and to assist with the planning of Queensland's health services to control and reduce the incidence of cancer.
The Health Regulation requires public and private hospitals, pathology laboratories and nursing homes to submit, in an appropriate form, cancer related information and statistics to the Queensland Cancer Registry.
The following Guides or Booklets are available:
- Cancer in Queensland 1982-2007 Incidence, Mortality, Survival and Prevalence
- Manual or instructions for the completion and dispatch of cancer registration forms by Queensland hospitals and nursing homes.
