Why the Support is Provided?

This support is provided to:

  • assist Queensland small business operators to expand and survive in business
  • help people entering the business sector for the first time, as well as current owners and operators, to develop sound management skills.

What Support is Provided?

Most TAFE Queensland Institutes provide Business Management training. They offer a number of programs, at varying degrees of complexity, to cater for individual management training requirements.

You can obtain the following qualifications in Business:

  • BSB30110 - Certificate III in Business
  • BSB40212 - Certificate IV in Business
  • BSB40407 - Certificate IV in Small Business Management
  • BSB50207 - Diploma of Business.

A service offered by government to aid in running a business.

Eligibility requirements

You do not require a formal education to gain course entry. However, to achieve the competencies you should possess the following abilities:

  • communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing
  • make decisions based on fairly complex business information, supported by appropriate literacy and numeracy provisions
  • apply workplace situations to learning and skills.
