Land Tax Act 2010 - Queensland

The Land Tax Act 2010 imposes land tax on freehold land you hold in Queensland at midnight on 30 June each year.

Land tax is the first charge on the land, and will continue as a charge after the land is transferred. You should apply for a clearance certificate when buying land to protect yourself against paying the seller's land tax.
