Learning Network Queensland (LNQ) offers the following services:

Courses Offered by LNQ:

My Learning Short Courses

My Learning Short Courses offer flexible and responsive delivery methods; online, distance and face to face workshops. The extensive range of courses are available for career progression, gaining a competitive advantage, lifestyle enhancement and give participants theoretical knowledge and practical skills in their own time, when and where they choose.

Paricipants enrol at any time into the wide selection of online and distance courses which include:

  • Business and Management
  • IT and Computing
  • Retail, Sales and Marketing
  • Work, Health and Safety and Compliance
  • Writing

Face to face programmed workshops which are held day, nights, and weekends include:

  • Art, Design and Photography
  • Construction and Machinery
  • Hospitality, Catering and Nutrition
  • Languages

University Exam Supervision

Learning Network Queensland (LNQ) offers students studying externally the opportunity to sit both written and online exams at our Examination Centre.

All exam invigilation is offered at a reasonable fee and is held under strict examination conditions which meet standard guidelines.

LNQ offers examination supervision for over 15 organisations including:

  • International and National Universities
  • National TAFE Colleges
  • And Students from other International and National private providers


UNILEARN bridging courses are self-paced distance education courses designed to assist students to gain entry to tertiary studies, gain employment or to extend their knowledge. The UNILEARN bridging courses are based on senior level high school subjects and are recognised by many Australian universities as pre-requisites for entry.

Different learning approaches are used by UNILEARN to allow for a diversity of learning styles:

  • Students can choose when they wish to commence a UNILEARN bridging course.
  • Students are given dedicated tutorial support from their date of enrolment from registered High School Teachers.
  • Students can study UNILEARN courses when and where it is convenient to them with no formal classes to attend.
  • Assessment is available for most courses when the student feels confident to proceed.


  • Academic Literacy Skills develops tertiary essay and assignment writing skills.
  • Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Senior English and Introduction to Economics courses bring students to a Year 12 standard.
  • Introductory Mathematics provides a solid foundation for further studies in Mathematics.
  • Senior Mathematics provides a recognised pre-requisite for university studies such as Engineering and the Physical Sciences.
  • Successful Study Skills provides guidance on the planning and organisation of study habits for success at school, the workplace and university.
  • Get Prepared to Study Online provides guidance on how to study within an online environment and be a successful online learner.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Vocational Education

LNQ has an Indigenous unit that focuses on developing projects in consultation with the community and other stakeholders.

The objectives for the unit are:

  • to build strong relationships with our regional indigenous communities to form a platform for working together to design appropriate training and work solutions
  • to engage with local indigenous community elders and leaders to ascertain needs and to involve them in advisory leadership of the BNIT strategy
  • to engage with local industry to ensure that the training is fully aligned with the skills needs of the Qld economy, particularly with skills appropriate for the client group
  • to ensure that training solutions lead to real work
  • to engage BNIT staff in cross cultural professional development and further learning of special approaches to learning and training for indigenous people
  • to source funding to provide solutions for communities
  • to access Government funding sources such as VRG (VET Revenue General) and Productivity Places to assist with appropriate and relevant training solutions.

LNQ have delivered accredited and non-accredited training across the state in many regional and remote areas.

LNQ provides training to meet the needs of the client and cohort of students which is 'off-campus' mobile classrooms. This includes a trainer kit for the teacher (date pojector, laptop and printer) and laptops which are connected to wireless 3G network.
