Lease or purchase of unallocated state land - Queensland

Description

This support service is provided to facilitate the establishment of businesses by making unallocated state land available, as part of the wider program goal of ensuring that land is allocated to its most appropriate use. Land for the establishment of industries is provided in industrial estates under the control of the Department Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning.

The department can lease or sell unallocated state land to businesses. Clients can obtain information on the availability of unallocated state sand at auction. In other instances, clients may identify particular areas of unallocated state land, which they wish to lease or purchase. In these cases the land may, after investigation, be auctioned or, in some cases, granted in priority.

The client also receives advice on the process and compilation of an application to meet the requirements of the Land Act 1994.
