Managing the work environment and facilities code of practice 2021 - Queensland

Description

This code sets out guidance on how you can provide a work environment without risks to health and safety. This code covers:

  • the physical work environment, such as workspace, lighting and ventilation
  • facilities for workers, including toilets, drinking water, washing and dining areas, change rooms, personal storage and shelter
  • remote and isolated work
  • emergency plans.

This code of practice provides practical guidance on how to comply with your work health and safety duties, including effective ways to identify and manage risks.

You will either need to comply with this code of practice or an alternative method that sets an equivalent or higher standard of work health and safety.
