Minimum Patient Throughput Standard - Queensland

Description

Scope of this legislative Instrument:

Section 12 of the Private Health Facilities Act 1999 empowers the Chief Health Officer to make standards for the protection of the health and well-being of patients receiving health services at private health facilities.

The Minimum Patient Throughput Standard provides that patient throughput at each health facility providing prescribed health services must be at a level sufficient to maintain the clinical skills of the staff providing the health service.
