Queensland Heritage Register - Queensland


The Queensland Heritage Register is a record of Queensland Heritage Places of cultural heritage significance in Queensland, as defined under Section 31 of the Queensland Heritage Act 1992. The Queensland Heritage Register is available online.

A certified copy of an entry of a registered place or a certificate stating whether or not a property is affected by the Act can be obtained on request. Certificates of Immunity certifying that a place may not be entered in the Heritage Register as a registered place within five years of the date of a Certificate of Immunity can also be made by application to the Queensland Heritage Council.

Definitions of terms can be found in the Schedule Directory of the Queensland Heritage Act 1992.

Particular note should be made of Section 35 of the Act in relation to criteria for entry in the Register. If a place is entered in the Register, reference is made to the particular criteria which are significant in relation to that place.
