Registration as a Surveyor - Queensland

Description

This registration is required for a person to operate as certain types of surveyors.

It is up to the applicant to obtain a copy of the Surveyors Act 2003.

Eligibility requirements


You must:

  • meet the Competency Assessment process for the applicable level of registration sought
  • surveyors currently registered must meet the Competency Assessment process for the applicable level of registration sought

Duration

This registration remains in effect until 31 December each year and is renewed in the period from October to December.

Application process

Submit the appropriate application form to the Surveyors Board. An individual who intends to practise as a surveyor will be required to pay an application fee plus an annual registration fee.

The following documents must be submitted with the application:

  • Copies of academic transcript, diplomas and other relevant certificates
  • Evidence of competency issued within 12 months to date of this application
  • Successful Exit Interview
  • Two signed references issued within 12 months, one to good fame and character

Approval by the Board Members during a Board meeting is required before the registration is granted.

Transfer process

This registration cannot be transferred.
