Screen Queensland Schemes and Initiatives - Queensland


Screen Queensland's purpose is to grow the screen industry and to be a significant contributor to the economic and cultural wellbeing of Queensland.

Screen Queensland is a government-owned company that invests in talent and projects to grow a creative, innovative and successful screen industry with a focus on stories and global audiences; secures production to Queensland; and delivers an active screen culture across the state.

Support provided for screen industry practitioners includes:

  • development and production of screen projects
  • business development of Queensland production companies
  • professional development of Queensland-based screen practitioners and
  • travel assistance for Queensland-based screen practitioners.

Eligibility requirements

Please refer to the guidelines relating to each initiative available on the Screen Queensland website.  

The following applications are not eligible:

  • applicants who are in default of any contractual agreement with Screen Queensland;
  • projects that have been rejected more than once;
  • applications for retrospective funding;
  • applications for commercial videos, advertisements, current affairs, infotainment, sport, educational or training programs, interstitials, magazine-style or 'how to' programs;
  • applications from secondary students and tertiary undergraduates; and
  • applications for school or tertiary course work.
