All security providers must be fingerprinted by the Queensland Police Service. After the lodgement of your application, you will receive a letter from the agency that details the process for having your fingerprints taken.
Applicants must undergo a criminal history check to confirm their suitability. The criminal history check applies to each person who appears on the application form. The fee applies to all applications and renewal notices.
It is possible for you to amend your licence to authorise the carrying out of the functions of an additional type of security provider - Class 1 (other than a security firm).
You must provide:
a completed Form 1-1 which indicates the additional functions you will perform;
100 points of identification, including at least 1 primary document, as stated on the application form.
your current licence number;
a copy of your certificate of attainment of the appropriate modules for the combined licence; and
payment of applicable fee.
