Statistical Information and Advice Generally Regarding the Coal Industry in Queensland - Queensland

Mining and Petroleum provides up to date and comprehensive information on the Queensland coal industry to assist in the promotion of Queensland coal products.

The Department collects and disseminates statistical data on production, sales, employment and productivity in the coal industry. Information is primarily for providing advice to government. However, various diverse organisations also utilise the information on a regular basis. For example, producers and employee associations use the figures to compare their performance with industry standards, while financial bodies use them to identify investment opportunities.
