A Transmission Authority can be transferred.
Transfer of a Transmission Authority requires approval by the Regulator.
An application to transfer a Transmission Authority must be in writing (there is no prescribed form) giving details of the proposed transfer, including the proposed transferee to The Regulator (Director-General, Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy) at the address given in this summary sheet, clearly stating the details of the proposed grid to be transferred. It must be accompanied by the fee prescribed under S193A: Application for transfer of the Electricity Act 1994 and Schedule 7: Fees payable to regulator of the Electricity Regulation 2006.

The Regulator must be satisfied that the proposed transferee is suitable to hold the Transmission Authority.
