Holding a brothel licence authorises you, as the holder, to operate a brothel at the premises stated in your licence, subject to the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
As an applicant you must not be ineligible in terms of Sections 8 and 16 of the Prostitution Act 1999. You must also be a suitable person to operate a licensed brothel, in accordance with Section 17 of the Act.
This licence will remain in effect for three years.
You can obtain information on fees from the Prostitution Licensing Authority.
You cannot transfer this licence.
