Professional Engineers Act 2002 - Queensland

Description

  1. The main objects of the Act are:
  2. to protect the public by ensuring professional engineering services are provided by a registered professional engineer in a professional and competent way; and
  3. to maintain public confidence in the standard of services provided by registered professional engineers; and
  4. to uphold the standards of practice of registered professional engineers

The Act provides for the registration of professional engineers by the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland.

It prescribes the criteria and conditions of registration and also provides for the Board to investigate, conduct disciplinary proceedings and exercise disciplinary powers where breaches of the Act occur.

The Regulation prescribes the fees for registration.
