The Geological Survey of Queensland provides this support to assist the exploration industry in Queensland.

The Queensland Digital Exploration Reports System (QDEX) is an internet based document management system for the Queensland exploration reports collection. Reports can be searched, displayed, downloaded and lodged via QDEX. All exploration activity in Queensland must have reports lodged with the Department of Natural Resources and Mines and these are managed by QDEX.

Exploration reports are documents describing the geological and analytical activities performed (with results) whilst exploring for coal, minerals or petroleum in Queensland.

Not all exploration reports are open file. Reports for current exploration are confidential till the exploration tenure expires in general.
