Specialty Health Services Standard - Queensland

Description

Scope of this legislative Instrument:

Section 12 of the Private Health Facilities Act 1999 empowers the Chief Health Officer to make standards for the protection of the health and well-being of patients receiving health services at private health facilities.

The Specialty Health Services Standard provides that patients at the health facility who receive specialty health services must also have access to the ancillary health services necessary to ensure the health and well-being of those patients.
