An individual must hold a water bore drillers licence to undertake water bore drilling activities.

An individual must hold a water bore drillers licence to carry out drilling operations in artesian and sub artesian aquifer systems.

Application process

If you would like to receive a Water Bore Drillers Licence kit, want a new or amended licence or want to renew an existing licence, please phone or email the Principal Technical Officer (Drilling).

This kit includes:

  • An application form for a water bore drillers licence
  • Water Act 2000 examination and notes
  • Enrolment forms for ADITC examinations
  • A copy of the Water bore drillers licensing handbook
  • Copies of water bore construction standards
  • An explanation of the required fees and application process.

The department may request further information on the application.

Refer to Schedule 16 of the Water Regulation 2002.

Transfer

This licence cannot be transferred.
