Accreditation as a Dairy Transporter - South Australia


You will need accreditation if you intend to transport raw milk products.

You will be authorised to:

  • collect and transport milk from a dairy primary production business to a dairy processing business
  • transport bulk milk or dairy products between dairy processors.

You will not need accreditation if you intend to transport only manufactured or packaged dairy products.

If you intend to transport milk from South Australia to other states or territories you may need separate authorisation.

Accreditation cannot be transferred

Additional information

If you are a small milk processor and you intend to collect milk from your own dairy farm or other accredited dairy farmers, you will need a food safety program for accreditation as a dairy transport business.

You must only transport approved food products sourced from accredited dairy farmers or processors.
