Description

Individuals wishing to affix Hull Identification Numbers (HIN) to registrable recreational vessels must be approved as Boat Code Examiners and employed by Boat Code Agents.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for approval as a Boat Code Examiner the applicant must:

  • Be an employee of a Boat Code Agent;
  • Have at least three years experience as a shipwright/boat builder or as an approved marine mechanic, or as approved by the CEO;
  • Successfully complete the DPTI training course;
  • Be at least 18 years of age.

Duration

1 year.

Variable; Initial approval: $74
Renewal: $37.
