Persons intending to act as a building works supervisor must apply for Building Work Supervisor Registration.
A registered plumbing, gas fitting or electrical worker can be approved as a building work supervisor for work covered by their registration without needing separate registration as a building work supervisor.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
Applicants must meet the relevant performance criteria in Schedule 2 of the Building Work Contractors Regulations 1996. A registered architect is taken to be the holder of a Building Work Supervisors Registration.
Application fee $194, Registration fee $213.
