Mobile Wildlife Educator / Demonstrator Permit (Commercial) - South Australia

You will require this permit if you intend to keep, sell (or give) and display protected animals of the basic and specialist species at temporary locations in the course of carrying on a business of wildlife demonstration, display, education or entertainment. As this is a mobile permit, you may travel around South Australia with the animals.

Animals of the basic species are listed in the legislation. Animals of the specialist species are unlisted, though may be difficult to keep, threatened or rare.

Animals must be lawfully obtained, such as through captive breeding or purchase from a licensed dealer.

You may sell or give away animals under this permit, though only to the holder of an appropriate wildlife permit and only if you have bred that animal or held it in your possession for a period of at least six months.

You will need a separate permit if you intend to take a native animal from the wild, and if you intend to import or export animals into or from South Australia.

Please contact the agency for more information.
