Any person who operates a passenger transport service for hire, fare or consideration must hold operator accreditation.
Small Passenger Vehicle Operator Accreditation is required for all public passenger vehicles with less than 13 seats.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
There are four categories of Small Passenger Vehicle Operator Accreditation based on the type of operation. The categories are: Metropolitan, Traditional, Special Purpose and Non-Metropolitan.
