Operator Accreditation - Taxi - South Australia


Any person who operates a passenger transport service must hold operator accreditation under the Passenger Transport Act.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

The primary purpose of accreditation is to ensure that the relevant person or persons (including in the case of a company, each of the directors and certain other interested persons), are of good repute and are fit and proper to be responsible for the operation of a transport service.


Accreditation instalment payable annually; Operator Accreditation renewable every 5 years; Taxi (Plate) Licences renewable annually.
