Private Mines - South Australia

Description

Private mines are a legacy of the law change and allowed those who would have lost the right to retain their mineral rights to apply to retain their mineral rights. Mineral rights allow their holders to mine those minerals for commercial purposes. Private mines have similar but distinct obligations in comparison to other mining tenements (e.g. mineral claim, mining lease, etc.). Private mine holders do not have to renew their rights but they do have to lodge mining returns and pay royalties.
