Persons wishing to light and maintain a fire in the open air during fire danger season may require a permit under the Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005.
The permit does not authorise the lighting of a fire during a total fire ban.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
