A Producer's Licence authorises the holder:
- to sell liquor produced by them on the licensed premises at any time, for consumption off the licensed premises;
- to sell liquor produced by them for consumption in a designated dining area with or ancillary to a meal; and
- to sell or supply liquor produced by them by way of sample for consumption on their licensed premises.
The Licensing Authority must be satisfied that the proposed premises are suitable, have all the necessary planning and building approvals, applicants are suitable, that the granting of the licence will not cause any undue offence or annoyance to those who work, worship or reside in the locality, and that the licence category is suitable for the activity proposed. The licensing authority may refuse an application for a licence, but instead may grant a certificate of approval for the proposed premises.
