ADR 63 Trailers Designed for Use in Road Trains - Tasmania

Description

You will be required to comply with this Australian Design Rule if you intend to manufacture a particular heavy combination vehicle. This rule applies to electrical wiring, connections and installations in certain road trains that are longer than 19 metres. The road trains are:

  • Semitrailers;
  • Dog trailers; and
  • Converter dolly's.

This rule applies whether or not they were built before the day stated in the ADR for vehicles of that type.
