AS / NZS 2982:2010 Laboratory Design and Construction - Tasmania

Description

You must comply with this standard if you are an accredited person intending to issue a certificate of compliance to a place that stores or uses unsealed radioactive materials in a laboratory setting. Unsealed radioactive material refers to radioactive material that is not:

  • permanently sealed in a capsule
  • in a solid form and that is bound closely.

This standard specifies the requirements for the design and construction of laboratories and includes information on laboratories that house both ionizing and non-ionising radiation.
