Australian Standard AS 3745 Emergency Control Organisation and Procedure for Buildings, Structures and Workplaces - Tasmania

You will be required to comply with this standard if you are responsible for an occupied building, structure or workplace. This standard outlines the minimum requirements for the establishment, validation and implementation of an emergency plan for facilities to ensure the safety of its occupants in the event of an emergency evacuation.

Class 1a buildings are exempt from this standard unless that building is also used as a workplace. Class 1a buildings are defined as a single dwelling being a detached house, or one or more attached dwellings, each being a building, separated by a fire-resisting wall, including a row house, terrace house or villa unit.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
