New Tasmanian building laws have come into
effect from the 1 January 2017. These laws will update requirements for
building and plumbing work. This record will be updated to reflect the new
building laws in early January.
You will require this certificate when your building work has been completed to demonstrate that all of the relevant approvals have been attained.
A Certificate of Completion will only be issued if the Authority is satisfied that:
- If required, an Occupancy Permit has been issued;
- A Certificate of Final Inspection has been provided;
- A Certificate of Completion - Plumbing Work has been provided; and
- All conditions of the Building Permit have been met.
