Check in TAS - Tasmania

Description

Businesses and organisations may need to collect information from anyone who spends any time at their premises or event to assist with COVID-19 contact tracing. The specific organisations and businesses that are required to comply with the direction to use Check in TAS are listed here.

Generally, the Check in TAS app is mandatory for the following sectors:

  • accommodation
  • animal care and health
  • entertainment, cultural and historic
  • events
  • fitness, sports and physical recreation
  • food and beverage
  • hair, beauty and personal care
  • health, medical and aged care
  • passenger transport
  • places of worship
  • retail
  • tourist and tourism.

Businesses and organisations with electronic record keeping requirements will need to use the Check in TAS app. Where Check in TAS cannot be used (such as there being no internet access), an alternative check-in solution (such as pen and paper) will need to be provided.
