Commercial Brushtail Possum Hunter's Permit - Tasmania

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to hunt and take brushtail possums for commercial purposes. Commercial purposes include selling the meat and skins. This permit applies to the properties specified in the permit.

You can only sell brushtail possum meat and skins to people with the appropriate licence or permit. Please consult the Contact Officer for more information.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • provide a completed application form that includes your firearms licence number and date of birth
  • pay any required fees.

If you intend to sell game animal carcases (meat) then you must provide a copy of a Certificate in Meat Processing (Game Meat Hunters and Shooters). Please consult the Contact Officer for more information regarding eligibility requirements.
