Commercial Wallaby Hunter's Licence - Tasmania

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to hunt wallaby commercially. You will only be allowed to hunt wallaby during the open season specified in the licence. Commercial hunting of wallaby involves taking their skin or meat to sell.

Skin and meat must only be sold to the holder of relevant accreditation.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • hold a firearms licence
  • hold a Game Harvester Skill Set (Game Meat Hunters and Shooters) accreditation or equivalent.
To take wallaby at night using a vehicle and spotlight, you must be the holder of a Crop Protection Permit for wallaby.
