Dangerous Cargo Requirements - Tasmania

Description

Any vessels designed to carry dangerous cargoes, including oil, must have their cargo assessed. After paying the prescribed fee, the dangerous cargo will be assessed against the:

  • International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMGD Code)
  • Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Act 1987
  • National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) or equivalent design standard.
