Forest Practices Code - Tasmania

Description

You may be required to comply with this code if you are undertaking forestry operations either on public or private land within Tasmania.

This code sets out the standards designed to protect natural and cultural values on land that is subject to forest operations. It applies to the establishment and growing of trees and to the harvesting of timber in native forests and plantations, on both private property and Crown land.

It also includes provisions for the protection of soils, water, flora, fauna, cultural heritage, visual amenity and significant landforms.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
