You will need this authority if you intend to act as the licensee of a licensed liquor premises where the current licensee is unable or unwilling to exercise the authority of the licence.
An interim authority may be applied for where a licensee will be away
from the licensed premises for a lengthy period of time (e.g. long
service leave, maternity leave or service in the armed forces). If a licensee will be absent for a short amount of time, but for more
than seven days, written advice as to who will be in control of the
premises should by provided to the Commissioner for Licensing.
