Kennel Licence - Tasmania

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to keep several dogs, whether for commercial or private reasons. Several dogs is defined as more than 4 working dogs or more than 2 non-working dogs over the age of 6 months.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • provide evidence of provision for health, welfare and adequate control of all dogs on your premises
  • provide information on the breeds, kinds and maximum number of dogs to be kept on your premises
  • submit the appropriate application form for public publication more than 28 days before the licence commencement date
  • comply with any conditions as determined by the Council
  • pay the required fees.
