You will require this licence if you intend to provide alcohol for sale for consumption on your premises, with or without the sale of an accompanying meal. This licence authorises the selling of liquor between 5am and 12 midnight daily. It is usually issued to nightclubs, bars and restaurants.
If you intend to sell liquor for consumption off the licensed premises for specific occasions or events (such as street dining), you will require an off permit. If you intend to sell liquor between the hours of 12 midnight and 5am, you will require an out-of-hours permit.
If you are planning to allow patrons to BYO (bring their own) alcohol, please consult your local Council for compliance issues.
