National Standard for Commercial Vessels - Tasmania

Description

You will be required to comply with these standards if you intend to undertake any of the following activities:

  • design a domestic commercial vessel
  • construct a domestic commercial vessel
  • crew a domestic commercial vessel
  • survey a domestic commercial vessel
  • operate a domestic commercial vessel.

A commercial vessel is a vessel which is used in the course of any business or commercial transaction.

The National Standards for Commercial Vessels is progressively being introduced to replace the Uniform Shipping Laws Code.
