Permit to Establish an Outdoor Dining Facility - Tasmania

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to operate a food or beverage business and propose to place, erect or construct furniture or goods outside your premises on a footpath, road or reserve or any other public place to encourage outdoor street dining.

Furniture includes but is not limited to:

  • Tables;
  • Chairs;
  • Umbrellas;
  • Screens;
  • Portable heaters;
  • Awnings;
  • Lighting; or
  • Planter boxes.

Your local Council may have dimension requirements that must be maintained for pedestrian movement along the footpath.
