Description

You will require this permit if you intend to use a device to deter seals from interfering with a fish farm or another fishing activity.

Eligibility requirements

You will not be granted this permit unless the Agency is satisfied that:

  • The use of a deterrent is necessary to ensure the success of the fish farm or another fishing activity;
  • You have a sufficient connection to the fish farm or fishing activity; and
  • You have adequate instructions and training in the safe and effective use of the device.

This permit may impose conditions such as circumstances, ways, time and location that a seal deterrent can be used.
